When hope has blossomed Speranza (Hope) was the name of a daughter of Claudio and Bianca. She was born in 1340 and died in 1398. Speranza was the only daughter of her parents and had a reputation for beauty, intelligence, and virtue. One day while she was standing by the window of her bedroom, she saw a group of handsome young men galloping towards her house.
They were riding on horseback and she immediately fell in love with one of them. His name was Raffaele Pazzi and he became her fiancé. One day, while they were out riding, they came to an area where a number of beautiful women were sitting outside their houses.
The women were so beautiful that Raffaele couldn’t take his eyes off them. He began to tell Speranza about them but she didn’t understand what he was trying to describe. Eventually, he stopped talking because he couldn’t find the words to describe how beautiful they were.
Shortly after this they arrived at Speranza’s house where her father Claudio asked him what he had seen on his ride with Speranza. Raffaele told him about the women that they had passed on the way but Claudio dismissed it as just being women that he had seen before. Later Raffaele saw Speranza again and asked her if she could tell him about the beauties that he had seen on their ride that day.
She then began to describe each one of them to him but they still failed to satisfy him because they all looked exactly the same to him even though they were different from one another. Still not satisfied, Raffaele went home where he asked himself for help with his problem but all his friends advised him not to think about it any further because it wasn’t worth spending time on something which obviously meant nothing anyway. This made Raffaele even more frustrated because now he didn’t know what to do or how to sort out his problem! As time went by, Raffaele became more infuriated with his problem because it seemed that no one could help him! After many unsuccessful attempts at solving the problem himself, finally one of his friends suggested that he talk it over with someone else who might know how to deal with such problems!
